Blended Learning
Summer 2020
Hello Infant STF!
We are looking forward to welcoming some of you back in the next three weeks.
You will know which day you are returning on. If you are expecting transport, you must read the document below, prior to the taxi arriving. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ring school or send me an e-mail.
Don't forget your packed lunch, drink and snacks! We can't wait to see you.
If you are not able to return to school before the summer holidays, I will continue to add learning activities to our class page, to be completed along with your individual IEP packs.
Please share any work you complete on our Class Dojo or you can e-mail them to me at JohnsC14@hwbcymru.net
If you need any help or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me.
Many thanks for all you support.

HOME LEARNING
SUMMER TERM 2020
Hello Infant STF!
I hope that you are keeping safe and well. We are missing you so much. Have lots of fun at home, in the sun and we will see you back at school soon.
Please check each week to see the activities related to our ‘Teeny Tiny Things’ topic. It would be wonderful if you could complete some of these with your families. I would love to see photos of you having a go at these activities. Please share them with me on our Class Dojo or you can e-mail them to me at JohnsC14@hwbcymru.net
Please also continue to utilise the IEP pack that was sent home with your child, as this is personalised to their learning needs. If you need any help or would like more information, please don’t hesitate to e-mail me.
Many thanks for all you support.
I look forward to seeing you all when we return to school!

All of the practical activities you complete at home such as drawing, singing, reading, cooking, water play, gardening, playdough and many more are really beneficial for the children.
I have also included some website links that may be useful if you want ideas for some more fun activities:
Joe Wicks is streaming PE lessons for children during school closures:

Oxford Owl is giving access to many books that can be read online. They include books from our Oxford Reading Tree scheme, if you child is on reading books:

Top Marks has a wide selection of educational games that the children can play online. We often use the early years counting games in class such as Ladybird spots, Teddy numbers and underwater counting:
Twinkl is a vast resource website that has many printable activities such as fine motor control and scissor skill activities. It also has listening games and counting activities that may be useful.
‘Singing Hands’ have several songs available to watch on YouTube. These are sung and signed. *Please supervise your child when they are using YouTube*: Class favourites include The Wheels on the Bus and Five Little Firemen
Providing visual reminders to target hand washing will be useful. Visuals like this one (put together by the Speech and Language therapists at Sheilings school) can help:
