Infant S.T.F

MARCH 2020

Dear Parents,

We hope you are keeping safe and well.

Hopefully you will have received a newly updated I.E.P and a pack of activities that can be used with your child to practice at home.

Please don’t feel under any pressure to complete these daily, we understand that this is a difficult time for the children. We are here for you if you need us or if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail. We will respond to you as soon as we can.         = Mrs Johns Infant STF         = Mrs Jones Junior STF

All of the practical activities you complete at home such as drawing, singing, reading, cooking, water play, gardening, playdough and many more are really beneficial for the children.

I have also included some website links that may be useful if you want ideas for some more fun activities:

Joe Wicks is streaming PE lessons for children during school closures:

Oxford Owl is giving access to many books that can be read online. They include books from our Oxford Reading Tree scheme, if you child is on reading books:

Top Marks has a wide selection of educational games that the children can play online. We often use the early years counting games in class such as Ladybird spots, Teddy numbers and underwater counting:

Twinkl is a vast resource website that has many printable activities such as fine motor control and scissor skill activities. It also has listening games and counting activities that may be useful.

‘Singing Hands’ have several songs available to watch on YouTube. These are sung and signed. *Please supervise your child when they are using YouTube*: Class favourites include The Wheels on the Bus and Five Little Firemen

Providing visual reminders to target hand washing will be useful. Visuals like this one (put together by the Speech and Language therapists at Sheilings school) can help:
