Summer 2020

This term we are beginning a new topic called “Champions!”  It is a P.E based project exploring how the body works and exploring the history of Ancient Greece.  There will be lots of opportunities for science as well as writing and researching different areas.

Prior to Easter the children all took part in the Ospreys “Try tag rugby festival!”  The response of the children who attended was overwhelmingly positive and a fun day was had by all.  Some of the children from year 5/6 were also selected to represent the school at the Gower schools rugby tournament.  As always they punched way above their size and were a credit to themselves and the school!

The year 6 children have recently completed their residential to Llangrannog.  It was the first time that we went there as a school and I have to say it was absolutely amazing.  The children loved the variety of activities, developed their social skills and were also able to practice their Welsh!

We encourage the children to take control of their own learning by ensuring that they feedback appropriately in class and through their homework.  It is therefore imperative that homework is completed on time and that they have taken time to think about whatever task they are undertaking.  This is especially important over the coming weeks as we will be providing test questions for the children to practice.  Please make sure your child has a go.  It is in their best interests to do so.

  • Homework will be given out on a Friday and expected back on Wednesday.
